Lavender Cleansing Oil- 100mls
Although the idea of using an oil-based cleanser is currently becoming more popular it is not a modern concept. In fact many ancient cultures used the oil cleansing technique long before it’s current popularity today. The most important thing to keep in mind when using an oil-based cleanser is that oil dissolves oil (and dirt) more effectively than harsh chemicals that strip away all oil from the skin. Although it may sound (and feel!)
counter-intuitive the best way to rid skin of excess oil and dirt whilst also caring for it is by using an oil-based cleanser. This is because this type of cleanser will dissolve the excess sebum, dirt and grime without stripping away the beneficial oils that protect our skin.
Whether you choose to use a lotion, gel or oil based cleanser is, of course, a matter of personal preference however Lavender Cleansing Oil takes its strength from the inclusion of Hazelnut Oil in its formulation. This ingredient allows an oil based product to deliver an astringent, toning action whilst also nourishing the skin with essential fatty acids! Check out the beneficial ingredients descriptions for more information on this powerhouse ingredient.
Lavender Cleansing Oil is so gentle that it can be used on the eye area making it an effective stand-alone makeup remover! When combined with fresh water it has a milk-like consistency that deeply cleanses, dissolves makeup and is easily wiped away.
Beneficial ingredients used to formulate this product include:
Lavender Oil- this ingredient has a host of benefits including helping the skin to heal itself by stimulating cell growth, reducing inflammation, preventing scarring and balancing the production of oil. All of these benefits are perfect when fighting acne and nourishing problem skin. It also smells delicious!
Chamomile Roma Oil- this product has antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory compounds and is well known for being particularly appropriate for use on sensitive skin and other delicate skin conditions.
Hazelnut Oil- this ingredient is gentle enough for use on all skin types and penetrates deeply into the epidermis while also toning and tightening the skin. High in oleic acid (second only to sunflower oil in content) and flavonoid concentrations, hazelnut oil mimics the skins own pH levels so closely that it helps to balance oil production making it appropriate for use on both oily and dry skin types. In addition to this its high concentration of catechins and tannins make it feel dry on the skin. This one of the reasons why it's considered an astringent oil despite delivering much needed moisture.
Seabuckthorn- originating in Russia and China this ingredient contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B5 and K making it a potent anti-ageing product that rebalances and hydrates while helping to protect skin elasticity. Seabuckthorn is also useful for fading stretch marks, treating wounds (including keloid scarring), soothing skin ulcers and repairing sun damage.
Also containing Sunflower Oil and Rosehip Oil this cleanser is high in quality emollient oils that help to balance the skins natural sebum. It also assists in nourishing and rejuvenating skin while it cleanses providing powerful antioxidant action to encourage epidermal renewal giving skin a fresh, vibrant appearance.
